Cannot log in to Weebly

I have a Weebly webpage, and I always log in using the "log in with square" button. I know all of my log in details. However, all of a sudden 4 days ago, when I enter my detail on the Square log in page, instead of being directed to my Weebly dashboard, I am being redirected back to the weebly log in page with a box saying: 
 
You may already have an account. Try login with email and password.
 
I have contacted support twice now, but am getting nowhere.

Thank you for your patience, @busyknees.

I've heard back from our Advanced Support team, and the team has confirmed that they will need to unlink your Square account from your Weebly account in order to fix the login issue. In order to do this, they'll need your written permission.

I can see that a member of our Support Team emailed you 4 hours ago requesting this permission. Please reply to this email with the written permission requested, and I'll let the team know once it's been received. From there, the team will be able to complete the process.

@busyknees Thank you! I've let our Advanced Support team know, and a member of the team will be able to start work on this shortly.

Unlinking your Square account from Weebly will allow you to sign in to Square and Weebly without being redirected to the other's sign in page. Moving forward, you'll need to sign in via Weebly to access your Weebly site, and vice versa for your Square account. Your account information and settings will all remain the same, but the sign in process will be separate.

Once I've heard back from the team that the unlinking has been successful, I'll reach back out to you here. 🙂

Hi @busyknees,

I've heard back from our Advanced Support team, and they confirmed that your Square and Weebly accounts have been unlinked. 

Please navigate to Weebly.com/login, click Forgot Password, and reset your Weebly password. Once your Weebly password is reset, you should be able to login without any issues. 🙂

Please also ensure that you're not signed into Squareup.com when you attempt to sign in to your Weebly Dashboard. You could also consider signing into Weebly through an incognito/private browsing window just in case.

I am also having the same problem, I cannot log in to my Weebly Account , I have been on the phone for several hours with support and they have not been able to help me, they just keep telling me to delete cookies and resetting my Square Password but I STILL CANNOT ACCESS MY WEEBLY account, Pls help

Hi @TrendyT - sorry to hear you have had the same issue. This ended up being a huge problem for me on many levels and the only work around I could find was to open a whole new web domain and a whole new store and account in Shopify. I wanted to open an online studio sale store linked to my artist portfolio website in Weebly. My problems seemed to start when I linked the Square store to the Weebly site. I spent countless hours trying to get support from both Square and Weebly to no avail. I spent countless hours also having to set up a whole new portfolio website and store in a different web service provider. The timing for this to happen was absolutely terrible because it was coinciding with my end of degree graduation show that attracts thousands of visitors as well as curators, collectors and gallerists. I had my business cards printed before all of this happened so my business cards didn’t have the new Shopify web address on it - these cost around $300 so I couldn’t just get them reprinted due the cost I had already outlaid. This, paired with a non-operational online store for around 5 days resulted in loss of sales of around a few thousand dollars at least. Not to mention making me look very unprofessional with an incorrect web address on my business cards. This situation caused me massive amounts of stress and anxiety. I even tried making a report to ICANN to see if they could contact Weebly in the US (I am in Australia) but that didn’t help either because they took a very long time to respond. When someone replied to my help requests online, they kept telling me to reset password, open an incognito window, clear cache, turn PC off/on and of course, this did not work. I tried calling Weebly in the US and they had a prerecorded massage that said I needed a code from my Weebly website dashboard to be able to access phone supprt but this was an impossible catch 22 because I couldn't login to my weebly account. I am completely astonished as to how little both these companies (Weebly and Square) care for their customers and how there is zero knowledge or assistance or help provided given these two service companies are linked for customers. The owners of these companies must have a non-existent conscience and for something that I can imagine is probably an easy fix in the back end, I can’t understand how this problem persists causing widespread damage to customers' livelihood. In the end, I was unable to resolve anything with Weebly/Square except to get my original web domain unlinked from Weebly/Square so that I could connect it to my new Shopify hosting account. This all took considerable time. Eventually, I was able to connect my original domain to my Shopify account so at least now my business card web address issue is rectified. I have stayed with Shopify now, it has a good AI assistant built into it’s software that helps edit/rewrite code to tweak the site visually but is a lot of extra work compared to the Weebly drag and drop builder. And at least Shopify has been reliable and provides support when needed. I hope you can find a solution!

I am so frustrated, I am already looking for ways to transfer my domain, but it is less than 60days so I cant transfer it yet; I really regret having anything to do with Weebly or Square; the support is so clueless and unhelpful. I am going to cancel and ask for a refund; 

Imagine having a website and I cant access the Dashboard
