Cannot enter credit card expiration date when manually entering a credit card in Square Terminal

We are using a Square Terminal and are having issues manually entering the credit card expiration date (the year.........entering the month seems to be fine). Example: Put in credit card number just fine. The cursor jumps to the expiration date MM section......type 08....the cursor jumps to the YY section.....put in 22 and nothing is displayed.  Another example: enter in 10 in the MM section. Go to add in 22 in the YY section and only the second 2 is displayed.

I have done some playing around.....trying different combinations of placing the cursor before the last 2 in YY, backspacing once and adding in the first 2.......or, backspacing over the second month number, placing the cursor at the end of YY, backspacing twice and adding the year.....................OR, entering 12/22 and then backspacing as needed to adjust.

I have seen other threads on this subject and updating the Square App is mentioned. Since we have a Square Terminal, isn't that updated automatically for us?

Thanks in advance

If your Terminal is not set to update automatically or if it's shut off during the time it updates (usually around 3am), the Terminal won't update.

Check Settings > General > About Terminal to see if an update is available. If everything appears up to date, scroll down on that same page to start a Factory Reset. Your data is saved in our servers but you will need to set up device specific settings like internet and printer stations.

Turns out that updating the Square Terminal fixed the issue. Had to spend two hours with Apple ID support to get our Apple ID re-enabled so we can do the updates.

Hi @IndyIntergroup - not sure what you mean, the Square Terminal is not an apple device and doesn't have touch ID capabilities.
