Cannot connect wireless printer to ipad (wifi not bluetooth)

I am trying to connect a printer to the square pos in order that i can print orders straight from my ipad or iphone. The printer (HP Officejet Pro 7740) is picked up on all other apps except for square. I have tried it on the laptop too and same issue in that square hardware wont pick the printer up. 

 

It is not a bluetooth printer but is wireless and all devices are running on the same network.

 

This is extremely problematic as i am unable to print any orders at all. 

 

Can you kindly offer any advice - other than turn it off and on again - as i have tried this several times.

Hi @ndp03, sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue printing out orders!

 

The HP Officejet Pro 7740 is not on our list of compatible devices so it will not be possible to use this printer with the Square Point of Sae app on an iPad or iPhone to print out orders.

 

You can use either a receipt printer or a kitchen printer with your iPhone/iPad to print. The only difference between the two is that the kitchen printers are made to withstand heat, so if you are sending tickets to the kitchen, a kitchen printer would be the better one to use. 

 

If you'd prefer to use the HP printer, you can print out orders from the Dashboard instead. To do so, you can either take a screenshot of the order and print it out as an image or print directly from your browser.
