Canada Post Number and API credentials

Hello,

I see Square requires businesses with a Canada Post account to also enter their API credentials, however CP only doles out API creds to participants of their Developer Program. Certainly many more sellers have a CP account, than those who are also developers. My question then is, can Square delete the requirement to enter API creds when connecting a seller's CP number? This is the first platform I've seen this on. 

In the meantime, is there any workaround?

You should be able to generate the proper credentials for Canada Post by following Shippo's instructions here. It's been awhile since I walked through this setup, but I'm happy to help you out in any way I can.

I am new to all of this and find Canada Post instructions impossible to understand. I have tried to plug in API username, password etc into my weebly shipping profile and it does not work. NO idea how to get real time rates added at checkout. PLease help!
