One of the directors has left and the square account is in their name, square will not deal with me so what do i do ?

The information you provide during registration (name, address, phone number) is used to verify your identity and is therefore permanent and cannot be changed. This means the account will remain registered under the director's name, and ownership cannot be transferred.
In this case, we recommend creating a new Square account. You can link the same bank account, download your payment history, and transfer all of your items and customer information into the new account. However, you'll need to contact the current account owner to download all the necessary data from the existing account.
If you'd like to use the same email address as your current account, you'll need to update it before setting up your new one. Once updated, you can create the new account with your preferred email.
