Hi @LukeNieuw

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I can check with the team tomorrow. Can you clarify a bit more on what type of subscription this is? What do you plan on doing with the information in Groups?

Thanks in advance!

Currently I have a subscription plan for an indoor golf simulator league.

They pay monthly and get access to an Indoor Golf Simulator.

My asking is 2 fold:

  1. Communication: email marketing to my subscribers. I can't see a way of segmenting them for marketing purposes.
  2. My reservation system uses customer groups to lock out prices available to people reserving online. Currently I have no way of allowing subscribers to reserve for $0 without opening that up to everyone

Make sense?

It does, and thank you so much for the explanation. Last question, how does one sign up for the subscription and how do they pay?

Is this done through your Square Online website, Invoices, or Square Online Checkout links?

The plan is created through "Subscriptions" in the Square Dashboard and once setup I am given a Checkout Link.

My apologies, Luke. I didn't see your last reply here! Thanks for confirming the information I requested. I'm following up with the team in the morning, and will post back here once I hear back from them tomorrow.

Hi @BernadetteA

It's been a hot minute 🙂 Was there any update on this?

Being able to put subscription customers into smart groups would be amazing.

Oh my! Yes, it HAS been a hot minute! My apologies for missing the reminder to circle back to you here. ❤️

I spoke with the team previously (and confirmed again just now) but it is not currently possible to create a Smart Group for subscription customers.

You may already be doing this, but you can always import a csv file list and those lists will be their own group. You can also manually add customers to a created group, as well.
