Can square take payments if you have no internet?

• I have a photography business and Im doing a market in a couple of hours and just had a panic that my phone will have no reception there! I tried searching for this and could only find posts from 2019 so hoping there is newer information. Can I still take payments using square if I have no reception in Australia?

Offline mode was recently introduced for the SQUARE TERMINAL in Australia, so you would need one of those. There are several limitations you should be aware of. You can read more about it here:

Hi Bruce,
Thank you for your reply. 
I actually dont have the terminal, only the reader and from all my google searches it doesn't have the offline mode but luckily I had reception yesterday so it was ok.
