I've been struggling to find a helpful solution to this problem I have been attempting to fix for quite some time.
We run a Bottle Shop and im having an issue for splitting up sales of items and tracking inventory.
Currently right now, we are using the system of even though all of these items arrive to our shop in a 24-Pack (slab) we input all the data as a single can. This way it allows us to accurately track the number of cans we have left, but ultimately when we use the POS system and someone requests a slab, it will just go to -1.
Every week we are going through to manually adjust all items, which would look like if slabs are -2 we know we need to take 48 single cans off the total.
As we have over 300 different products and rapidly growing, this is becoming a huge waste of time for us to be spending hours every week levelling out all the stock to 0 again and adjusting the single cans. The alternative of creating a new listing for each variation also doesn't work for us due to the fact if we take a single can out of a slab, it will cause the manual work to still need to be changed and when you have 5-10people in the store its not feasible to do this.
We are also looking to expand into 10 stores in the next 12 months so this is something I am hoping there is a great solution for.

I don't use retail, but isnt this what the stock conversion feature should be used for?

Or have I misunderstood and you are using it, but it's not working.
