I have a few items that have a barcode that don’t work correctly. When the barcode is read the system (Square Retail) responds with No Matches Found with an option button to Create Item. When I touch that button the system says Item not enabled at this location. The options below are Enable item at this location, or Create item. I continually have to enable the item every time the barcode is read. It doesn’t remember that I enabled it last time. Solution?
From your Square Dashboard on a Computer, go to Items, select the Item to edit it. In Locations make sure the Location(s) you want the item available for sale is checked, click save. You can also choose to enable for all future locations. Zoom in and look at the bottom left of the screen shot.
