I'm setting up a new barcode scanner for Square POS but running into an issue where scanned items only return the SKU but no other information about the price or product name. I verified the SKU is connected to a product with a name and price in the items inventory.
The scanner is a NADAMOO wireless barcode scanner. Any help would be appreciated!

It seems that you may be using and untested Barcode Scanner and we are unable to troubleshoot or offer support in this case. Here is a list of Barcode Scanners compatible with Square.

The item the SKU returns does it have a price listed for the item? The screen you show in your example of
SQ7018543 - is this the SKU or item name?
When you scan something in that is Not an Item in Square it asks if you would like to add it now.
I have a Barcode I scan that does not have a price and is called Oddity.
Whenever I scan that barcode I have to enter a price.
Do you have a screen shot of the item with the price in Square?
Here is my Oddity item that I need to fill in the price for. SKU = manual entry

As you can see here my price is set at $0.00, so when I scan this item we enter it manually for items without a barcode that the item only has a printed price tag on it.
If you have more questions ask me, and I will try to help you. Since your Barcode reader is returning a value to square it should work.
What is your SKU for the item?
What is Square showing as the Barcode when it scans it?
What does Notepad or similar product show when you scan the barcode there?
