Automatic discount

I am trying to create a discount that if a customer buys 2 products they can get $ off.  I have selected the item (has variants) and added all of the other options but it still tells me  "You must select items to apply the discount to"  What am I missing?  I have read all of the instructions and I think I have filled everything else in???

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble setting up your discounts! When you head to discounts in your dashboard, and select the discount you've created, you should be able to see the items that it applies to listed like this:

From here, select "Add eligible items or categories" to add the items the discount applies to.
