Just started an artist collective and would like to find a way where we can all
ring POS for each other on our individual squares? Is that possible?
Hi Possum2018,
I believe what you have in mind won't work ... with multiple different accounts, there would be no way to manage transactions, deposits, taxes, reports, inventory, etc. For example, there's a local Artist group where I live - they are a cooperative gallery setup as a non-profit. They have one Square account and it seems to work quite well for them.

Thanks for the feedback!
The ONLY way I can think of this working would be have The Collective create a Business banking account locally with EIN number etc and a Business name. Then use Square with each seller having basically a USER account or Employee access to the master Business account. This way if a seller does not pay dues if any to the collective their access can be turned off and not able to sell items there. Then each business in the collective can add their items and price to a Category or Vendor. Then at the end of the Week or Month your choice all funds to the respected businesses are selted from the Collectives Bank account. There are report filters and the its easier if you have the sellers as Categories since this does not print on receipts and can be filtered quickly. Just remeber that 100% of what is collected for the "category" is not what goes in the Collectives bank account.....(Square Fees are not deposited) Plus some one (the Collective) will have to pay sales taxes too which also would need to be shown to people in the collective why they did not receive 100% of their sales.
