I am using square with an iphone set up “tap to pay” lately the tap to pay function only works sometimes. The app then comes up with an error message “ app broken” I have deleted app and reinstalled a few times but this error keeps happening. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

I had a look but didn't find any similar reports of this specific error message.
What brand and model device do you have? The first step here would be to confirm that it is compatible with Tap to Pay.
Can you also check that you have the latest software version of the Square app installed? It would be version 6.42.
