Allowing Customer Notes At Checkout On Self Serve Orders?

Hi There

We relaunched our pub after 7 months closed this week using the self serve checkout system. It's been pretty good to be honest but it would be useful if customers can add additional notes when they checkout.

We have it switched on in advanced settings in checkout but nothing appear when you checkout.

Anybody else find this problem?  It worked fine when we were online for home deliveries but since switching to self serve and qr codes generation it's lost.

Any ideas please?

Hi @Malc_Vaults, thank you for reaching out! Currently, this is a feature request. Enabling the add notes at checkout will only enabling it for pickup or delivery orders.

In this case, a workaround is setting up a text box modifier. You can name this modifier something like "Notes for self-serve/table order". To set this up,  you click into any item and scroll down to Manager modifiers. This is where you can set up new modifier.

Instead of selecting from a list, you can create a "Typing text into a text box" modifier so that customers can enter their message there. You can also increased the character limits if needed.
