Advice on Provider Tax

Looking for advice from another Square user who pays annual provider tax for Healthcare.  Is there a way to record each transaction that requires provider tax without charging it on the transaction?  Since I have not been doing this,  it makes it difficult to go back through reports as I can only find Gross income on these services,  not net if there was a discount given.  I'm thinking that I will be overpaying the tax...

I am not a health care provider but I am trying to understand your issue to see if Square has this feature for you.

I know un Adminstration Tax settings you can add multiple taxes.  So in your case for examle have one sales tax and one for Provider tax.   Then on your Items you can specify which tax to use.  So when ever that item is sold the correct tax would be applied.  I am not sure you can fix the past transactions without going through them one by one manually, but you could apply this and it would fix all transaction from here out as long as you get all the items to apply the correct taxes.  And yes you can or coud apply multiple taxes to an item, so on the receipt I think it would show these individually.

Hello @carriemh78, we appreciate you reaching out here on the Square Community. Thank you for your insight on this too, @Candlestore

Is the tax that the other Square user you are referring to called a "Provider Tax" within Square, or does it go by any other names? Any other details on this would be helpful.
