We would like to track our inventory and make adjustments to stock counts, receive PO's, etc all with Square's inventory management.
We're a repair business and we will need to use inventory physically before the final sale/pickup is made by the customer. Therefor, our inventory will be utilized before the final sale and we will need to alter the stock count before the customer pays so that we can see our real stock count of that item and account for those parts that are installed but not yet paid for.
So, is it possible to manage our inventory but turn off the auto-decrease inventory tracking feature at the point of sale? We don't want the inventory to automatically reduce its count at the time of sale as we would have already removed that item from inventory during the repair.

At this time this would be possible unless you disable inventory tracking entirely @ifixomaha. I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.

If we turn off inventory tracking would that then remove our ability to manually adjust inventory counts for items? I’m wondering if it is an all or nothing setup.
At this time it is. You either track stock or you don't at this time.
