Adding text modifiers

When I try and add a modifier to allow people to add personalised text request it only allows a list option there is nothing there to indicate a text option

Hey @Frankii88 - if you’re using the app or the main Square website then I don’t think there’s the option to add a text modifier. 

To get the text modifier option login to the online part of the dashboard, then go to one of your items where you want the modifier to be active and add it there (towards the bottom of the item page).

The option that will then come up is this one:

What is the online part of the dashboard please - how do I navigate to there ?

On your main dashboard it’s in the left side menu. 

* I’m assuming you want to add this to your online store? Even when you add it there it won’t show in the POS app. The only option you have there is the notes field.
