Adding notes to orders on KDS

Hello, is there a way to make modifications to orders on the KDS once the order comes in? for example changing the name on the collection or changing the time of collection? adding notes to items e.g. "no cheese on burger" as customers often contact us to make amends but i see no way of being able to do this.

It's not currently possible to edit an order once it has already gone through the system. I tested this out and the only options that we have that are similar are: 

 

 

An edit order feature would definitely be useful for cases like those you've described.

is this something that can be looked in to, as we get many modifications after the order has been placed, we also use a buzzer system when customers arrive to collect their orders, at the moment we cant fully utilise the KDS due to the limitation of not being able to edit/add notes to the order.

Hey @smashnslide, just stepping in for Breffni here. 

 

I can definitely see why not being able to edit or add notes to orders on the KDS would be limiting. I will pass this post over to our team for them to take into consideration. Hopefully, this is something we'll be able to implement in the future. 

 

In the meantime, I'd recommend reading about how Feature Requests work on the Community to get a clearer idea of how we use posts like this to improve our products.

Is there any update on this? We get a lot of online pre-orders at this time of year and customers often make modifications. Our previous system allowed us to add notes eg collection date, gift notes, change of address, etc.,  and it’s quite a task remembering them all if we can’t note things on orders. This is a major flaw in an otherwise good system for us. 😬
