Adding items to Item Library is excruciatingly slow

Hi All, 

I am adding items of our Christmas category to Items library. The process is painstakingly slow. I mean everything - you click on "create item" and wait forever for the window to open, you type the name and the words don't show up for 30sec. Trying to scrolling down to add an SKU code or a price tag - the bar doesn't even move. Not to mention uploading the image is a mission. What's going on? I have re-booted my laptop, cleared cache, deleted hundreds of items from the library in case the volume is slowing it down (I only had under 800). My wifi is fine, I am using Chrome as my browser, all other apps are switched off, but it's getting worse with every item getting even slower than the previous one. I need to fix this urgently, as items are going on sale in the next days. Called customer service, so far no help, my request was escalated, still waiting. I have over a hundred of items to enter and it's going to take 2 weeks at this stage. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this. It definitely sounds off. These types of issues are more difficult to troubleshoot over the Community as we don't have access to your account and can't communicate in real-time. Please keep communicating with our support team as much as possible. 

 

I have some questions in the meantime: 

 

- Have you tried using a different device to see if the issue persists? For example an iPad or Tablet? 

- How many items are in your inventory currently? To my knowledge, we don't have a maximum amount of items that can be added however if you go over a certain amount, lags may occur. 

- Are you using Point of Sale or Square for Retail

 

Once I have more information here we can look at the next best steps, thanks.
