Adding events to Event section on website

I have an event which is set to visible (pic 1 and 2) but when I try to add it to the Event Section on the Home page of the website, I can only see the "Create Event' button and not the "Add/Select Event" (pic 3).

I know the event is good because I can add to the Featured Items, so it is recognized as visible but I just can't understand why I cannot selected it in the Events section.

HI, when you click the Create An Event button a popup Add Event Item is where the event is added.  Click on the event you just created on that page, on left side Edit Event Details, click back arrow, Done.

I am having this same issue today.  I added an EVENT type item, and see the item in the online store.  But it is not showing in my Events page, nor as a selection in my Featured Events panel.  It just gives me the add option.  Did you ever figure out how to address this issue or workaround?

I had to use the add event option in the online event section to create a dummy event record.  Only then could I see the option to add other featured events and unselect my dummy event.   Obviously a defect in the square system...

Is there a way to create an event that does not have a price? I have an online comics store and i will be attending certain comic cons around the area and i would like to create an event section with events for the different cons. The problem i am running into is it wants me to add a price. these events would be for information purposes and so there would not be a price. Is there a way to do this?

You can add a text section to your site but not an event with no price, that would be a feature request. Feel free to reach out on our Ideate Board with your input @seckley.
