Yesterday, Sunday June 11th my account was hacked. I first received a smattering of email requests asking if I wanted to change my Bank account...add a Debt card. I ignored the and called Square. On a Sunday. I spoke with a Rep who assured me my accounts funds were frozen. I called back and the Rep couldnt find my account through the email account. They had changed it somehow. I called back again because I was speaking to what sounded like an India call center and the broken English concerned me. The first Rep spoke fine. So upon calling back again they had broken English and could not find my account using my email. I was on the road a few hours from my Laptop but when I got home I was able to Two Step Verification everything. I was able to get into my account and change the email. However an unknown Debt Card had been added as well as a Bank account with Choice Financial Group. My transfers were switche dto Automatic instead of Manual. I was able to switch my accounts back but that Bank account is still lingering. I will have a Sq Rep remove it. Im waiting on a call back from the Security Team (Supposedly) to speak with them after they have done their investigations. Im still uneasy, Super Bummed.

I have 1 Question for you :
Did you have 2 step verification enabled before June 11th?
I am just another seller and so far I am glad to say I have not had any problems with my account at Square yet. (knock on wood)
I have 2 step verification enabled since then and my website does not promote my Credit Card Processor. I just wanted to figure out if you were hacked even with the 2 step verification enabled. I always get texts when I try to access my account from a new device and then have to enter the security code that was sent to my cell phone.
Now I also saw you asked in another thread if your cell phone could be hacked. With technology the way it is and hackers the way they are.... I am not saying it is or is not possible but could be. Since they got into your square account somehow, they were able to switch banks and would have been able to see your connected phone number.

I id not have Two Step verification. I thought it was a real nuisance. I enabled it quickly after realizing I was getting hacked. It seems to have worked. Now Im waiting on a call back from Sq regarding my account. I hope its not some scammer. I was racing against the clock yesterday after my account was breached. I was on the road. No computer. It was a nightmare. These guys went into my bank account and even ordered a GrubHub off Venmo.
 
		
		
		
		
		
	
			Since they ordered off of GrubHub.... I wonder if you file a Police Report if they can get the Address where the food was sent?
When you say they went into your Bank to order food do you mean a bank outside of Square or a Square Banking account?
Try using another phone to call Square since you think your phone was hacked and call Square support.
I would not wait for them to call you back and try to get this fixed asap.
Venmo wouldnt let me remove cards so I just closed the account
