system reboots after split transaction with a gift card

When a customer does a split transaction using a square gift card for the first part, the system has been rebooting after running the gift card and the entire transaction then disappears.  Our fix has been to figure out the gift card balance, run a transaction for that amount, and then do a new transaction for the second part. 

 

Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how to fix it?  It only happens with a split transaction when using a square gift card.

Since this issue only occurs with split payments using a Square Gift Card, does it happen across all devices or just one in particular?

 

Does the system reboot right after processing the gift card, or does it happen when selecting the second payment method?

 

Also, are you using a specific Square device or processing payments through the Square app?
