site not responsive

Hi! I am hoping for help with setting responsiveness on our Weebly account. Once I set my banner image for desktop, it's wonky on mobile and vice versa. I read that I may need to change the theme but upon researching that, there only seems to be a "shop now" theme and a "order now" theme? Is this correct?

I am a newbie to square and weebly so hopefully this isn't too ignorant of a question.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, there's never a bad question.  I believe there's a couple of questions in here.  Banner Image size?  Change theme?  Shop Now or Order Now buttons?  Can you please give more info, a screenshot or a link?

Hi, Terri!

So I have my banner image size set at 1920px by 1080px and that looks perfect with desktop view. However, when I swap to mobile view, the image is not responsive and it's cutting off big portions of my image.

I had read that was due to a theme issue and I needed to change it to a more responsive theme. However, I can not find a Theme section in my settings and I am not sure if changing the theme would even remedy the responsiveness. (I was not the one to originally set up the site, btw)

Hi, I believe there are a few places you can look.  Online Dashboard, Website, Edit Site, select Main Banner, click Customize, choice of 17 Layouts, then Section Style you can change section height.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your tips.

I can customize the banner image correctly on desktop view but when i get it perfect there and toggle to mobile view, the settings are off. The same thing happens if I set for mobile view and then toggle to desktop. The settings are not responsive on both views. Does that make sense?

Hi, what do you mean when you say "customize the banner correctly on desktop view"?  The image is what accommodates itself to desktop or mobile view.  Here is a thread regarding banner size.

I have the banner image saved as 1920 px by 1080px. But here is the view when I toggle.

Hi, thank you so much for the screenshot.  On the left side, when you hover over the image name you will see 3 little dots, click on that, "Set Image Subject" you will be able to move the image around to set it.

Hope this helps!

This does not work!! As soon as I edit the desktop version it changes the mobile version too.  Why can I not save the mobile image settings and then fix the image aspect on desktop and have them appear properly. What is the point in seeing the mobile view if it isnt actually responsive??

Mobile: If I edit now on mobile it also switches the desktop version and now the desktop version is screwed up... ughhhh

I am also having this problem. Those customizations you recommend affect both desktop and mobile images, which makes it wonky. We should be able to update desktop and mobile views independently of each other.
