sales tax report - returned items not reported

Made a sale for item that was taxable, and on same day processed a return for the item and sales tax.  When we run the Sales Tax Report, it reports the Gross Sale before the return and the tax shown is the Gross, as if the return did not happen.  Is there a report that I'm not seeing that will report the net Sale and Net sales tax for the day.  We don't really want to report and pay sales tax on returned/voided sales.

Thanks!

@TRHA Card refunds take a number of days to process and be completed.  Assuming that this was a credit card sale, your reports probably won’t show the refund until it is actually completed.  So, the sales tax report won’t adjust until then.  Since it is the last day of the month, the refund would show on next month’s report, I do believe.
