<img> in embed code element is not displayed on mobile

Hello,

I am using the embed code element on my Weebly website. In it, I want to use the <img> tag to display an image that I already uploaded to my website. When I use, for example, a url like

it works on desktop, but it won't render the image on mobile.

What URL should I use so the image is displayed on both mobile and desktop?

Thank you

Hello, @CCDems

I can gladly take a closer look at your experience here. If you can, please share a link to the specific website page where you are experiencing this issue on mobile. I can definitely try it on my end, and we can go from there.

Just keep in mind that we do not offer support (assistance) for custom coding on our platform.

Thank you for your reply!  I got an email back from Weebly that said:

  • This behavior is normal and expected, because mobile devices automatically adjust or rearrange content to fit smaller screens.
  • In other words, the layout or display changing on mobile is not a bug — it happens because phones and tablets resize and reformat websites to fit their screens.
  • Use the CDN URL that Weebly generates for your image (not the /uploads/… URL). Right-click the image in the editor → Open in new tab → copy that full URL. Using that CDN link in your < img > tag will make it display on both desktop and mobile.

I did the above, and it works now.

Thank you
