I have begun to use Square for Retail Free this year. Recently, over the past month, my iPhone 7 Plus has the my wallet pop up when I open the Cart to accept my customer’s payment. Besides turning off my iPhone’s wallet is there anything that I can do to make this stop happening? It’s beyond silly that my iPhone is trying to pay for my customer’s transaction.
Hello @AlpacaMan
That definitely shouldn't happen, but I'm a little confused.
You mention going to the cart to accept customer's payment.
Is that in the Square: Retail Point of Sale app?
If that's the case, I just tried using my app and the Wallet doesn't pop up.
It definitely sounds like a setting on your iPhone or a bug.
I would recommend checking both your iPhone and app for updates and uninstalling and reinstalling the Retail app.
If that doesn't work, you can always reach out to Support so they can investigate what the issue is.
Let me know how if deleting the app and reinstalling does the trick!
Thank you.
Thx for the reply. It has happened inconsistently while using the Square for Retail Free app, not the Point of Sale app. It doesn’t always happen. It didn’t happen today. I will try your suggestions when and if it reoccurs. Thx!
Did you ever find a fix for this? This happens to me as well and I have had to refund my credit cards bc it has charged my card. I haven’t had it happen for a few months and now it’s happening a lot.
Hey @Myemail043020,
This is certainly odd. Did you try deleting and reinstalling the app? Also, is your phone and app up to date? I would suggest speaking with Apple support as well.
Keep me updated!
