embed PDF in text

is there a way to link text to a PDF file - or embed a file on the backend so when a customer clicks on text a PDF comes up?

You can link to a PDF by choosing the file option when creating a link, then uploading the PDF file with that. To embed the PDF instead, simply add the Embed PDF section to a page of your site and upload a PDF to that.
