Why items randomly disappear from inventory?

I keep on having issue with my inventory. Items i'm 100% sure where in my inventory will just disappear randomly and i find out only when we try to scan item in POS and its no longer there. We have over 60,000 skus in inventory and i can't keep on monitoring what disappeared.

It's also lots of waist of time and messes up everything for us.

Is there something that can be done and if anyone else experiencing same issues?

Sorry to hear you ran into some difficulty with your items this weekend. 

Looks like you were experiencing the effects of a syncing delay that our engineers were able to get completely fixed Saturday.

any way to recover what disappeared?  I am still finding items that are just gone.

We have also run into this problem. I have even received a purchase order and then when I look at item history it says deleted but also received and then cant be pulled up from any screen or page other than the history page under items in the dashboard. We also have tons and tons of SKUs and sometimes we don't realize something was deleted until we try to ring it up months later or when we are doing a full physical inventory.

I am also having this issue.  Items we have sold for years are just completely gone from our inventory.  We find out about it when somone tries to buy an item and is not there.  This has apparently been a problem for Square for years.  I wonder if anyone is going to fix it.
