Why can't staff run Close of Day on the Register?

I have Square for Restaurants at all our locations and am using the Square Registers.

I want to run Close of Day. It's in the Documentation as 'Actions' > 'Close of Day'.

Why is it not there on the Register?

Why am I paying for these Square Registers if they don't have all the features? It should be identical to the iPad, with the extra features that the Register offers on top! Rather than giving me less features...

Hi @becaf_uk, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. 

Correct, currently the Square for Restaurants Free Plan (Register Compatible) does not include the Close of Day function. This is a Square for Restaurants Plus Plan function. There's a few functions that the product team are working on adding to the Square Register. 

I understand that this is frustrating, as soon as I have an update on these features being available on the Square Register I will follow up with you on this thread. Here's a full list of the features for both plans.
