What Kind of Business Best Describes an Artist Selling Art

Hello! I am working on setting up my square account, and am stuck on which type of business best describes what I do. I will be working towards selling my art (Posters, Stickers, acrylics, keychains, etc.) at conventions and events of a similar nature. I assume this would fall under the category of retail, but would these goods be considered under "Specialty Shop" ? Under Professional Services, there is also an option for "Design Other" . Since the art and goods I would be selling is not photography but is also not toys or hobby-esque items, which category should I pick?

For you I would probably Say Retail.  This question is more set for if your doing an Online Store through Square to help you with Sample type Websites.  Since you would be selling as you state "at conventions and events of a similar nature", I would stay with the Retail.  You buy or make items to sell.   Services, I would disagree with since the buyer buys item(s).

In Square this i smore just a General Question for Square to see what types of businesses are using Square.  When setting up your Catalog in Square you can sell items, services etc no matter what type of business you have.

Once you start setting up lour Square Catalog of items you can create Categories within your Catalog. So you can have Categories of Items for Posters, Key Chains, Stickers, Acrylics etc.

You can even setup Child Categories like have Posters as your Main Category and River Scenes, Mountain, Cabin etc as child  categories to select your item that is for sale.
