Unable to Deactivate Location Due to Greyed-Out Shipping Toggle

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: when I try to deactivate a location it says to disable shipping but it will not let me do that

 

When i try to deactivate a location it say i have to disable shipping. I have attempted to do that but the toggle button will not toggle

Hi @sfrotary, I appreciate you reaching out and would be happy to help.

 

It sounds like there may be an issue where the items are still individually linked to Shipping. Would you be able to try to edit the fulfillment options on each item for that particular location?

 

Here is a helpful Square Community post going over that and some steps on doing so:

  1. Go to your Square Online dashboard and navigate to Site Items.
  2. Select the checkbox in the top-left corner to choose all items.
  3. Click on Bulk edit in the top-right corner.
  4. Adjust the preferred fulfillment method for the selected items.

Once that is done, can you please let me know if you are still having issues with disabling your location?

 

Also, just to let you know I moved this post from our Appointments board to the Orders & Catalog board. Just to keep everything organized.

Hello, I'm having the same issue as the original poster.

 

I deleted all items associate with this location, set fulfillment methods to Pickup only, and it's still giving me the same error. Can you please advise?
