We have just started using Square Register for our Square for Restaurants instance - we are totally happy with it all and have managed to get up and running with zero support tickets so far ...except....we can't find a way to track spend for internal customers. We want to be able to comp "Uncle Kris" but be able to know how much of a bill he would have if he had to pay - for the Aussies: We want to put him on tick in the book and know where he stands at any time.
Is there a way we can set this up? If so, what is the step by step process to set it up and to apply a bill?

You can enable comps under items/settings. Depending on how many 'friends' you have, you could create one 'Reason' for each friend/staff member, then you can assign the comp to the right 'reason' and the comp reporting would then split it out.
You could take a similar approach with discounts...
Another way your could potentially do is create a page of 'tables' under their name(s) and move their open bills to that table.. Although I don't like the idea of having open tables for a long duration...
