TAX & VAT analysis

I use Square for restaurants and would like to find a report that shows a breakdown of sales of VAT-exempt and VAT-able items paid by card and do the same for paid in cash.

Might anyone know if this is possible, if it is not - how do you guys report this?

Hi Natalie, thanks for posting in the Seller Community, and welcome 🙂 

A report that shows a summary of the taxable vs non-taxable item per sale is a feature request. 

With Square Reports, you can download a . CSV file of the sales tax associated with your transaction history, however, it is an accumulative report, rather than a breakdown per sale. 

I tried to build a custom report to see if there was a way to create what you are looking for, but no luck unfortunately.  

The Reporting and Analytics team is constantly improving products based on feedback like this, so I’ll be sure to share your thoughts with them. You can also submit a formal Feature Request within our Seller Community here. @NatBee
