Hi, We are currently moving over to Square for Retail nd using the "FREE" version. I notice it does not have a Stock Valuation/Cost of stock capability. Does this mean when I move to "PLUS", we then have to input all the "Item Costs". Also, if we go VAT registered and we label items for VAT, does the Sales price Automatically have VAT calculated, or do we have to adjust the prices ?
Hi @Gossip14 thanks for your post 👋
Yes, tracking unit cost is only available with a paid subscription to Square for Retail. With Square for Retail Plus, you'll need to manually input all of the unit costs for each item/variation. This information is required in order to generate the advanced reports that come with Retail Plus.
You can review the breakdown of features included in each plan here.
When you enable a new tax, it will apply to all items by default. You can read more about creating and managing tax here.
I hope this helps!
