Square online: Address not supported

hi! Please help! My last 2 sales have been lost because when they try to add their addresses, they receive’address not supported’ messages.

@Moxiesmountainh WElcome to the community. The “Address not supported” message—this issue crops up when there’s a mismatch between the customer’s address and your configured shipping settings. 

 

  • It means the address they entered isn’t covered by any shipping profile or region you’ve set up in Square Online.
  • Even perfectly valid addresses will trigger the error if they fall outside the zones you enabled or if rates aren’t set for that area.

 

Things to try.

• If the customer’s address is outside your current shipping zones, add the missing region.
• If inside the region but rates are missing, add a rate (flat, weight-based, etc.).
• Then publish and test again to confirm the error is resolved.
 
 Review Shipping Profiles and Regions
• Go to Online → Settings → Shipping in your Square Dashboard.
• Under each shipping profile, make sure:
• All intended countries/states/zones are included.
• Each region has a shipping rate configured.
• If using multiple profiles, double-check that the item is in the correct one covering the customer’s region.
