Define Square compatible... Do you mean you can print right from Square OR do you mean that the Barcode readers will read it to process the item after it is labeled using Square POS with a scanner?
I print labels outside of Square using a PC and a Zebra thermal printer and the Zebra software. My barcode Scanner reads the barcodes fine plus using its software gives me more versatility in creating labels with more or less information. Meaning I can make labels that say : Was $5.99 Now on Sale for $2.99 and put the Barcode under or over or off to a side of the barcode. The other nice feature is that I can use a variety of labels or have my own created with a printable area to have my barcode or text placed on the labels with other fixed text that goes on every label.
I have read that some people are having alignment issues with Square and label printers but I have never tried this feature Square offers of printing labels right from Square.
