Square appears to have been hacked

We have received an email in with false links asking us to check a bank transfer check your email

It’s likely that this is spoof email and not that Square has been hacked. 

A good reminder to all of us to be vigilant about what lands in our inboxes.

Navigate to Account and Settings to change your Square account password.

Enable 2-step verification.

Change your password to your email.
