We have four Square Stands. 3 of them 1st generation, they are all working fine.
The fourth Square Stand we have is 2nd generation. It has worked flawlessly for over a year. Now with every credit card we get the error message, "Failed to process this payment. Please try again".
1. Our network is solid, fiber 1 GB - wireless router shows no errors.
2. Square Stand is connected to the network and properly reports cash up to the Square dashboard. Square Stand also gets all inventory updates from the website or edits on other registers. Edits made on the Square Stand are reflected in all other registers.
3. I believe the network is good, and the Square Stand is properly connected to the network given the above operations.
4. Running current version of software, no pending updates. OS is current as well with no pending updates.
5. System has been rebooted (soft & hard).
6. the iPad shows no errors.
7. Everything else on the Square Stand works flawlessly.
We cannot think of anything that was change between the day before and the day it stopped working (maybe 10 days ago).
