Sales Tax

is there a way to have one sales tax just applied to all items and then the rest of the taxes you toggle on when creating a new item? I have 3 different taxes set up but when I create a new item I have to remember to toggle them off otherwise they all are on for the items.

Yes.  

You would want to go to a Computer log in to your Square DashBoard then goto Account & Settings Select Business Information then select Sales Taxes.  You will get the below image, in the Red Circle you can set the tax you selected on the previous screen to always be added or only to certain Items.

So i have that selected for the other sales taxes but they all get attached to the new items

You may have to select a Tax if one is needed.  I just have one tax or no sales tax, so I thought that was how it worked sorry.  I just tried adding a second tax and it added both taxes too.  When I have 1 tax it works fine though.

Yea unfortunately we have different taxes 😰
