Last week our system started giving customers the options to redeem their rewards on the customer display, which is fine - except ours is specifically an amount off of a $20+ purchase. Square doesn't offer to actually set a limit on a reward so we've just been offering it to customers when they purchase $20+, but now they can apply it themselves no matter the transaction amount. Is there any way to disable this feature? Or to set a limit on the actual reward?
It would also be nice if the screen didn't say "sign up" every transaction, if a person is already a loyalty member. A lot of people click "no thanks" because they think it means they have to start a new account.
We are considering opting out of loyalty because of all these issues now - hoping this might be an easy fix.
Hi @marleymae !
What "rules" do you have set up in your loyalty? That should often help with when the rewards can be applied.
I completely understand what you mean with the "sign up" at every transaction. If they're already enrolled (i.e. phone number or email submitted), it shouldn't pop up with each transaction. I'll have to double check when I checkout my next guest.
Let me know if I can help in any other way.
Best,
Jess
There's no way to set the reward rules to be off of a certain amount from what I can see - just rules for certain categories etc. Do you see a minimum purchase rule?
It's possible to set a minimum purchase amount for reward earning, @marleymae.
However, it sounds like you are asking for the ability to set a minimum purchase amount when customers would like to redeem earned rewards - does that sound about right?
I'll look out for your response! 👀
Correct, for redeeming rewards.
Got it - that would be considered a feature request at this time, @marleymae.
