Receipt and Inventory issue

I am trying to figure out how to get order totals on receipts that print out to a kitchen printer. I can't get them to show up. We need it for orders that are delivery or pickup that haven't been paid for yet. Im also having an issue with my printer that connected to the POS printing out 2 receipts as well as 1 receipt to the kitchen. I just want one receipt to print to both. I am also trying to figure out the low stock alert, for example I have Fish, Fish Sandwich, and Fish Dinner. How do I get the inventory to be for all 3, I wanna keep track of the total fish sold altogether and get an alert when it gets low. Im not sure if any of this is possible.

Hi @Station7ctvfd - I see this is your first post in the Seller Community so I'd like to officially welcome you! 🎉👏

I see that you have a few questions here.

1. Order Tickets

- Order Tickets cannot be manipulated to include the price of the items or the total of the order within Square. I have worked in a lot of industry positions before Square and I'm not sure that I've ever seen this displayed on an order ticket either 🤔 You could configure your kitchen's printer station settings to print both an order ticket and a receipt. The receipt for the order will display the price points and total. Although it sounds like that is what you currently have set up.

2. Printer Issues

- Since your receipt printer is printing more than one copy of the receipt, it is possible that you may have created one or more printer profile on your device for this one printer. I recommend reviewing your printer settings and deleting the second profile, if there are multiple.

3. Low Stock Alerts

- If you have created separate items for "fish sandwich" and "fish dinner", the inventory will be tracked separately, per item. This feature is currently in Beta, but it's not available just yet. If you are interested in joining the Beta Program, you can request to join here. This Beta gives you the ability to track food margins and stock availability based on ingredient stock/costs.

I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.

I appreciate the feedback. I have the printer issue resolved. The reason for the totals on the kitchen printer slips is because we have multiple iPads that are taking orders over the phone that are for pickup or delivery and these orders go straight to the kitchen printer. The issue is we need to know how much the total is when we send our person out for the delivery or when the customer comes in to pick up their order. I'm open to suggestions as to how to make this run smoothly.

@Station7ctvfd ;

One way would be to have the Kitchen Printer, Print as it is.  No pricing etc.

If for Pickup or Deliver, Print out a regular reciept before the person gets there or the delivery person goes to leave to be placed with their order.

Someone can go to Transactions and print another receipt for the transaction or set your receipt printer to Print the receipt when the Order is taken.   This way not all in house Kitchen Tickets have the $ amounts on them.

If you want the $ amount on all tickets you could setup the kitchen printer as a Reciept printer too, but then all orders would have the $ amounts on them.   These are just a few quick ideas.
