Hi . We are using a Square Register with Square for Restaurants app and Star 700 kitchen printer. We are looking to have the pick up / delivery time printed on the kitchen ticket. I am using the setting to have kitchen tickets for online orders, as well as orders entered on the POS to print to the kitchen as soon as the order is made.
But this does not tell the kitchen if they need to start prepping the food immediately or put on a hold until a few mins before its scheduled delivery or pick up time.
If this is an option, I need some help with instructions on how to get this printed on our kitchen tickets. If here is a work around, I'd love some feed back.
I am actually happy to report that as of today, using Square for Restaurants , the delivery / pickup time is now printing on my kitchen tickets. I think that this may be a feature unique to Square for Restaurants, though I can not confirm for sure.
Hi @Janelane. Unfortunately there is no specific mechanism to so this right now. I would normally tell you to submit a feature request, but this one has been requested already. It’s just not there yet. In the meantime the only workaround I can think of is to have your servers enter notes for these tickets, since notes will print on both printed kitchen checks as well as on Square KDS if you have that.
