Have a item called open food where the both name and price can be free typed

So we have party set prices of Party Menu but those set prices are different or we need to create an open food item which doesn’t exist on the menu.

In our old POS system we had a button called open food or open wine.

it would ask the employee too type in the name of the wine item or food item and we can customise the price 

but that custom name and custom price would should show up on check!

how can we do that in square!?

Welcome back to the Community, @sbrockz - 

There is the option to create Custom Amount at checkout.

The only issue with this one is that it would come across as Custom Amount on the receipt. Right now, this would be the best option available for what you're trying to accomplish.

this has to be a requirement request. Prior to this had a 10year old pos system and we were able to do open food and open wine. 

please have this as a feature request!

Any movement on this? This is a basic function of a restaurant POS system and is absurd not to have
