Online Store Feature Request: Prep time from POS/Curbside info/Order ticket printing

We've had a great start with online ordering for delivery and pickup.  Just a couple of things that would make things so much easier.

 

1.  The ability for staff to adjust default prep time in the POS.  Right now it requires the staff to find someone who has access to the online dashboard.  So by the time we've changed it, if everything goes perfectly, it takes 10-15 minutes.    

 

We can go from having zero orders to "in the weeds" in an instant.  Being able to change the prep time quickly will adjust pickup and delivery times, and our customer's expectations.  

 

2.  A place for online customers to tell us what color/type of car they are driving for curbside pickup, and it will print on the order ticket.  

 

3.  Right now our online orders are printing twice.  Once when the order comes in, and again if our FOH marks the order as "in progress". 

My printer settings are:  automatically print order tickets - ON, automatically print in progress tickets - OFF.  But the order tickets still continue to print if the FOH marks a ticket in progress.

All software is up to date.   

 

4.  Customer phone number shows in POS order screen, or prints on order ticket.

 

5.  If... then:  If Delivery order is under a certain amount.. then a delivery charge will be added.  

 

Thanks for all the upgrades in the online store these past weeks, it seems something new happens every few days to make things easier.

Seconding the desire for the ability to change prep time from the POS interface. We have rushes that change our wait times from about 5 minutes if there's nothing ahead of an order, to having 80 orders on the rail (which is about a 45 min wait) for about an hour or so during lunch rush. On days when an owner is working the floor, we just keep updating the prep time, but it's really a pain to not be able to do it from the POS in the flow of taking orders and waiting on people.

 

I would also love, love, love if I could change prep time for an entire category in one step. We have coffee, which is basically always less than a 10 min wait, and food, which can sometimes be a long wait. I'd like ppl who are just ordering iced lattes to know they won't have to wait 45 min. But I don't have time to update prep time by item for the food. (If this makes sense, I'd like the ability to set a default prep time for all "sandwiches" category item, and then I could change that to 40 min when we get busy, and the rest would stay at our location default of 5 or 10 min.)

We have the same issue, need the ability to adjust the prep times from the Square POS or the ability to disable online ordering when we get hit with a rush.

 

This is a standard feature on the other online ordering tablets that helps us control the flow.

 

Until then, we’re forced to disable online ordering on weekends.

We would also like to update prep times from POS. Can we also get 5 minute increments between 15 minutes and 1 hour.

I agree that we really need to be able to change the prep time from the tablet when we get busy. We also need there to be smaller time increments between 15 minutes and 45 minutes. Right now my employees have to call me to make these changes when I am not in the restaurant. It’s somewhat tedious and not very conducive to a smooth flow.
