New retail location needing clarification

I have a business partner and we are starting our own retail location for uniform sales.  I'm looking at multiple options for our POS software.  Right now the leader is UniformSolutions who offers a good ecommerce solution that auto updates SKUs, etc.

The SquareUP website doesn't really give a lot of into it just seems to use a lot of popular terms etc.  Does square offer an actual ecommerce website setup or do they simply work with other ecommerce partners?  Can Square do what UniformSolutions does with Landau and Strategic Partners where it auto populates an ecommerce store?

Next is what's the real difference with the Square Register vs the rest of the options? On the Register page it says it does all of these things but then others have mentioned they didn't think it worked with the retail software.

What I want from our vendor is something that offers clear transparency, handles inventory, can take care of our ecommerce system, show profit/loss, handle exchanges and discounts, etc.

I'm not familiar with UnifromSolutions so I can't really speak to that. I can speak to a few of the options here.

Square as you POS will allow you to set up an eCommerce platform. You an use the Weebly Online Store which will allow you to link and manage your inventory to sell online, or you can use a platform like WooCommerce, which is an API that offers eCommerce solutions and inventory control as well.

Our Sales team may be best to answer your questions as to whether Square for Retail is best for you or the Square Point of Sale. The register is only currently compatible with the Square Point of Sale, but the Square Stand is available for Square for Retail.
