New Fees

Given the new interac fees that will be charged in September, I am considering changing my payment processing provider. Can I still use my hardware (and software) that I purchased from Square?

In my experience after using about 6 other payment processors, Square is the only one that has actually provided transparency on fees. And given ample heads up when making changes. All others I have found out after the fact with no communication. I was once charged a monthly business consulting fee by another payment processor, I had never spoken to any consultant the entire time and unless we really dug into the pages of fees we would have never known.

My point, the grass is not greener. Square blows them all out of the water. It's not even close.

No I agree with you, we are sourcing other POS providers as well.

We are a small delivery company that delivers meals from fast food or restaurants, groceries you name it we deliver within legal boundaries.

We purchase the item from the business for our customers and charge a flat delivery fee on top. With the new charges that is digging into our delivery fee, so if the customer does not tip we end up reducing out takings a lot.

It is great when they tip that covers our loss on the new fee's however our income revenue is greatly decreased.

From what I have seen some of the other POS will charge less with a flat monthly fee which if you think about we are ahead, after we calculate the percentage that square is now charging for debit transactions.

Options and options!

Good luck on your seach.
