Million dollar float?

Hi, 

 

for the last few days, not matter what I put as my starting float, when I end the day the till thinks I have over a million dollars as my float. And I can't even clear the till because once you reach $999999, you can't go any higher so every day there ends up being a discrepancy on paper. Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it? Thank you.

Hey @Josh123, this is a known issue and our engineering team has rolled out a fix in the latest version of the Square app.

 

When you have a moment, can you check if there's any pending update for Square?

 

The issue should be resolved once the new update is installed, but let us know if you're still experiencing the same issue with the cash drawer, and we can have a further look on our end!

This definitely sounds out of the ordinary. I haven't seen any other seller come up with this issue, so it sounds more account specific. I am going to recommend reaching out to our Customer Success team directly. They will be able to take a deeper look into what you're seeing and even file a ticket if it comes out to be a bug.

Hey @Shambhala, our engineering team confirms that they have roll out a fix in the latest Square app version 6.74. When you have a moment, please go to  ≡ More > Settings > Hardware > General > About Square Register or About Square Terminal and check if there's any pending update.

 

If you are using a Square Stand or an iPhone or Android mobile, you can check for software updates from ≡ More > Support > About.

 

If you are using version 6.74 already and the issue still persists, can you let confirm the exact device you are using and the software version? I can get our team to look into this further.
