Loyalty Programs & Discounted Items

The Loyalty Program FAQ is clear that sales of discounted items do not accrue loyalty points, but we are seeing items to which discounts are applied qualifying for the loyalty program. We can go back and manually adjust the customer's total but this is laborious and not a great customer experience. 

 

How can we assure that already discounted items don't also apply to the loyalty program?

Hello @GowanusWines! I had to consult with a Loyalty specialist for your question. Here's what I know:

 

If you have a program that is set for customers to earn points on a per dollar basis, they'll still earn points for every dollar spent even if items are discounted.

 

You may want to contact one of our Loyalty specialists so that they can see how you have your program set up. If you have your program set up so that customers earn points for certain items purchased, then the discount rule wouldn't apply. But our Loyalty team can work with you to get this configured!
