Loyalty Program Partially Works

The Loyalty Program should recognize a member and show their reward prior to completing a transaction for all means of credit card payment and not just when the credit card is swiped. It's the same business rules and the functionality should be consistent.

 

Most of my sales are processed via a credit card on file or manually entering the credit card info; not with the credit card being swiped. While the Loyalty Program recognizes the member to award the stars, it doesn't offer the opportunity to redeem rewards prior to completing the transaction as it does when the credit card is swiped.

 

I know I can look up Redeem Rewards, however, this is an extra step that I shouldn't have to take for a monthly subscription program.

 

Square is collecting more in credit card fees for the same customers because their card is no longer being swiped. Perhaps use that extra revenue to implement the absent functionality. Lastly, I recently watched the Square and SmartBrief webinar. It was frustrating to listen to the importance of Loyalty Programs from the Square employee when the Square Loyalty Program isn't fully functional.

Thanks.  I was trying to figure out the Square rewards system and was getting confused on this issue as well.
