Low stock alerts: Square update took away the toggle off button

I'm so disappointed they took away this feature. So now you have to either leave the item on the low stock list or delete it. Am I missing something? This was a feature I relied on.

Hey @Golson๐Ÿ‘‹

I've checked this on my own account and can see that the toggle button for low stock alerts has indeed been removed from the Square Dashboard.

If you need to turn off low stock alerts for an item, you can follow these steps instead:

1. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Items & services (or Items & menus or Items & inventory) > Items > Item Library.
2. Click the item you want to update.
3. Under Manage Inventory, click the (โ€ฆ) next to each location then click Set Low Stock alert.
4. Delete the current stock amount from the field. When empty, the field will automatically read "Not Set".
5. Tap Save to complete your change.

If you're still seeing low stock alerts on your items after following these steps, please let me know, and I'll be happy to investigate further.

@Katie_SQ My dashboard just updated this week, so I'm now having the same issue as original poster. Doing what you said to do does NOT change anything. Number still showing in red in main item list. Product still shows on email.

On a related note: when adding a NEW item, I don't see where I can update the low stock alert while editing the item? I have to save, and then go back in to do this, so it's not saving me any time.

@Katie_SQ this is still an issue for me. I did figure out that instead of clicking the Done button, you should click Cancel to turn off the low stock alert--which is totally counterintuitive, as cancel normally means "close window without saving". Turned it off for a bunch of things yesterday, and they ARE listed on my low stock email today. ALSO, I've noticed on active items that should and do have low stock alerts set, they are not appearing in red on the item list in dashboard when they're out of stock. I do rely on that visual to keep track of things too, and when it looks like there isn't a low stock alert set for an item that should have one, it creates a lot of extra work to verify.

@Golson @Fazpack are you still having issues? It doesn't seem like this is resolved... Maybe there's another thread on the issue I haven't found?
